Privacy notice

Updated 10 September 2026 · operated by Angus Fraser, 225 Morrison Rd, Putney NSW 2112, Australia

This notice explains how personal information is handled in connection with stagejury.com. It is written to meet the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the thirteen Australian Privacy Principles set out in Schedule 1 of that Act.

The short version, which the rest of this page expands on: this site has no forms, no accounts, no newsletter and no analytics. The only personal information that arises is what any web server necessarily processes in order to send you a page, plus whatever you choose to put in an e-mail.

Who is responsible for this site

stagejury.com is operated by Angus Fraser, a private individual, not a company. There is no corporate entity behind this site, no staff and no registered business structure.

Postal address: 225 Morrison Rd, Putney NSW 2112, Australia. Telephone: +61 2 8095 8904. E-mail: the address published on the contact page and in the footer of every page.

Under section 6D of the Privacy Act, a small operator of this kind is not automatically an APP entity. This notice nonetheless applies the Australian Privacy Principles voluntarily and in full, because a site that asks you to trust its judgement about software should not be evasive about its own handling of information.

What information arises, and where it comes from

Server and network logs. Every request for a page on this site is recorded by the hosting infrastructure and by the content delivery network in front of it. A log entry typically contains your IP address, the date and time, the address requested, the HTTP status returned, the referring address if your browser sent one, and your browser’s user-agent string. This information is generated automatically by the act of requesting a page and cannot be avoided by any website.

E-mail correspondence. If you write to the address published on this site, the message, your address and anything you choose to include in it are received and stored in an ordinary mailbox.

Local storage in your own browser. One key is written to your browser when you dismiss the storage notice. It stays on your device, is never transmitted to this site or to anyone else, and is described in full on the cookies and storage page.

That is the complete list. There are no forms, no comment fields, no search box, no account system, no newsletter, no advertising network and no analytics script anywhere on this site.

Why each category is handled, and on what basis

Server and network logs are handled for one purpose: to deliver the site reliably and to identify abuse, faults and attacks. The basis is the legitimate operational necessity of running a web server — there is no way to serve a page without processing the address it is being sent to. Logs are not used to build a profile of you, are not combined with any other source, and are not used for advertising of any kind.

E-mail correspondence is handled for the purpose of reading and answering your message. The basis is your own decision to write. If you send a correction to a factual detail, the correction may be acted on and the page changed; your address is not added to any list, because there is no list.

The single local storage key exists so that the storage notice does not reappear on every page. It is functional, it holds a value indicating that the notice was acknowledged, and it contains nothing about you.

Who else is involved

Hosting. The site files are stored on and served from a commercial hosting provider. The provider processes server logs on its own infrastructure in order to run the service and does not receive any other information from this site.

Cloudflare, Inc. (101 Townsend St, San Francisco, CA 94107, United States) operates the content delivery and security network sitting in front of this site. Requests reach Cloudflare before they reach the origin server, so Cloudflare processes request metadata, including IP addresses, in the United States and in other locations where it operates infrastructure. Cloudflare acts under its own published data processing terms, which incorporate the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses and equivalent transfer mechanisms; for the purposes of Australian Privacy Principle 8, that contractual framework is the mechanism relied on for disclosure of information to an overseas recipient.

Nobody else. No advertising network, no analytics provider, no social platform, no tag manager and no third-party font or script host receives anything from this site. Fonts are served from this domain rather than from a font service, specifically so that loading a page here does not make a request to anybody else.

How long information is kept

Server and network logs are retained by the hosting provider and by Cloudflare according to their own operational schedules, which are measured in days to a small number of weeks rather than in years. No copy of those logs is downloaded, archived or analysed by the operator of this site.

E-mail correspondence is kept for as long as it is useful — typically until a correction has been made and verified — and is then deleted. Correspondence about a factual dispute may be kept longer, so that a record exists of why a page says what it says.

The local storage key stays in your browser until you clear your browsing data or remove it yourself. Nothing on this site can delete it for you.

Your rights, and how to use them

Under Australian Privacy Principles 12 and 13 you may ask what personal information is held about you and ask for it to be corrected. In practice, the only thing likely to be held is an e-mail you sent. Write to the address on the contact page and say what you want; there is no form and no process to follow.

You may also ask for correspondence to be deleted, and it will be, unless there is a specific reason to keep it — in which case you will be told what that reason is.

Consent given by acknowledging the storage notice can be revoked at any time by clearing site data in your browser. Doing so removes the key described above and the notice will appear again on your next visit.

Requests are answered as promptly as one person reasonably can, and in any event within thirty days, which is the standard the Australian Privacy Principles apply to access requests.

Complaints

If you believe personal information has been mishandled in connection with this site, please raise it directly first — most problems are faster to fix than to escalate.

If you are not satisfied with the response, you may complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner. The OAIC can be reached at GPO Box 5218, Sydney NSW 2001, by telephone on 1300 363 992, or through oaic.gov.au, where a complaint form is published.

The OAIC generally expects a complaint to have been raised directly first, with a reasonable time allowed for a response.

Children and young people

This site is written for a general audience and is not directed at children. It is not intended for use by anyone under fifteen years of age, and no part of it invites a young person to provide personal information.

There is nothing on this site capable of collecting personal information from a visitor of any age. If a young person writes to the published e-mail address, the message is treated the same way as any other correspondence and is deleted once dealt with.

Security

The site is served exclusively over HTTPS, so the connection between your browser and the network in front of the site is encrypted in transit. The site is static — plain files, no database, no server-side application and no login — which removes the majority of the ways a website of this kind is usually compromised.

Access to the hosting account and to the mailbox is protected by strong, unique credentials and multi-factor authentication. No system is perfectly secure; this describes the measures actually in place rather than a guarantee.

Direct marketing and unsolicited messages

No commercial electronic messages are sent from this site or from the address published on it. There is no mailing list, no newsletter and no promotional correspondence of any kind, so the consent, identification and unsubscribe obligations in the Spam Act 2003 (Cth) are not engaged by anything done here.

If you write, you will receive a reply about what you wrote and nothing else.

Changes to this notice

This notice may be updated if the way the site works changes — for example, if the hosting arrangement changes or a new technical component is introduced. Any updated version will be published on this page with a new effective date, and material changes will be summarised in a short note at the top of the page for a reasonable period.

There is no archive of earlier versions. If you need to establish what this page said on a particular date, a public web archive is likely to have a copy.

Effective date and contact

This version takes effect on 10 September 2026 and replaces any earlier version. Questions about it go to desk@stagejury.com, or by post to Angus Fraser, 225 Morrison Rd, Putney NSW 2112, Australia, or by telephone on +61 2 8095 8904.
